Rain in the Ranch

Yesterday clocked in at .14 inches.

Today, as of 4pm, showed only .04 inches.

I thought it was more than that, but that is all the record showed.

Elections are coming up!

Election Time is right around the corner! Early voting starts July 29!!

Arizona’s primaries are Tuesday, August 24th and the General Election is Tues, Nov. 2nd. The Secretary of State and Maricopa County Recorders’ offices are looking for people who would serve all day at the various voting precincts. Arizona has 2,200 precincts and need seven people per precinct. That is a LOT of volunteers.

Actually these people are paid a small stipend of $100 a day. But you earn it, needing to commit to showing up at 5:30 a.m. and staying until 8:00 p.m.

This is a wonderful civic opportunity. In fact, 16 and 17 year olds can serve and get excused absences from public schools.

If interested in signing up you can, please email Ken Bennett, Arizona Secretary of State, who will forward your interest to the right staff member. You can contact him at kbennett@azsos.gov
