Watch that corn grow!

This is the corn at the northwest corner of Power and Elliot, along with some leftover alfalfa and a few weeds. In some parts of the country they talk about corn being "knee high by the Forth of July". Around here, it will be knee high the day after tomorrow. As in, it grows REALLY fast as it warms up. Watch for it.

Arbor Day was a geat success!

Trees were planted and taken home!

A report from the water expert:

Yes the Arbor Day celebration was the best yet! Attached are a few of the photos I shot from the days events.

The Petting Zoo and Pony Rides was a hit again, along with our wonderful DJ, Bake sale, Bounce house, Sissou Tree's people took home, Clown, Face Painting and Raffle! We even had a guest appearance from Cheryl Miller.

It seemed like we had about 200 people and the best weather we could have asked for!!! Mick and Paul Story (TotLot Care) also did a fabulous job getting all of the grounds ready for our celebration.

I felt the event was perfect.

You can "Row the Corn"

These pictures are from the northwest corner of Power and Elliot Roads. To be able to "row the corn" is to be able to see a row of green in the brown soil because the plants are big enough. In this field, they are. As the top picture shows, the corn is only about two inches high. But it will grow FAST! So, more later.

Roses in the Ranch

Can you see the roses in the first picture? Maybe the second one helps. Our office at the NorthWest corner of Higley and Elliot. I wish everyone got to go to an office so beautiful.

Did you see it?

This machine is called "The Eliminator". It is not from a science fiction movie, nor does it have to do with the governor of California. It is a tillage tool that "eliminates" trips across the field by doing several things at once. It was working on the field at the northwest corner of Elliot and Power. It takes a big tractor to pull this beast! But the field has already been planted. More pictures later.

Only the blue can changes!

Neighbors, don't put your black cans out until tonight!

I am seeing lots of black cans out, like the Town is coming today. The black cans stay the same. Really. See here.

I don't want to get worked up about this really. A couple of weeks and we will all get the hang of it. See you curbside!

This is the week recycling changes

All of Morrison Ranch is in zone 3. The black can stays the same. Now we put out the blue can Thursday night for Friday pickup. Gentlemen(and Ladies), change your habits!

Look at the SECOND map here.

At the time I recreated this link the Town was still showing the old schedule followed by the new. That could change at any time.

He is risen, indeed!
